i saw peter kissing jessica

Last year at staff lunch, one of my coworkers told me and others at the table that he and his wife had seen Peter and me kissing in a Target parking lot at some point. The moral of the story was two-fold. First, someone is always watching.  Second, it is good to show affection in public because it encourages others in their marriage.

Another coworker, Kevin, rose to the occasion and composed this little song to commemorate this rather embarrassing turn of events.

I saw Peter kissing Jessica
underneath the vapor lights last night
They didn’t see me creep
among the cars to have a peep
they thought that I was sweeping off my car from winter’s deep.
And I saw Peter kissing Jessica
out amidst the parking lot last night

Oh, what a laugh it would have been
if Joby [my boss] had only seen
Peter kissing Jessica last night!
