George Bernard Shaw to Winston Churchill:

“I am enclosing two tickets to the first night of my premier. Bring a friend… if you have one.”

Churchill, in response:

“Cannot possibly attend first night, will attend second… if there is one.”

We are in London right now, and Peter and I got a huge kick out of that quote at the Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms. I’ve been to many museums in my life, and a lot in the last eleven days, but that museum was the best one yet.
