bow ties and whatnot

Our friend Kevin was sporting a classy bow tie on Sunday, and Peter chatted with him about it after church.
Peter: Are those things hard to tie?
Kevin: It’s just like anything. No harder than a Full Windsor.
Thus began a discussion of fashion trends in tie length, width and knot size.
Peter: Wide and high ties are in right now.
Kevin: The ebb and flow of style is really interesting, with just those three factors to work with.
Peter: That’s why ties can still be fashionable. The possibilities are endless!
Kevin: Yeah, but you don’t want to get stuck with a wide tie out of season.
Jess: So, when you guys put on a tie, you really need to know what knot to wear!
